ALL ABOUT EASTWOOD ROSE

Thank you for taking time to read about us! Eastwood Rose specialises in the design and make of beautiful curtains, roman blinds, sheer curtains and roller blinds. Based in the heart of Chew Magna and catering Wells, Bristol, Bath, the Chew Valley and all in-between, the small independent company consists of me, Liz, a curtain maker and lover of beautiful fabrics.

I have a wealth of experience within the creative sector. Initially trained at London College of Fashion, I started my career working in Paris for fashion houses including Agnes b and Lacoste, as well as a stint at the world's biggest fabric exhibition, Premier Vision. Upon moving to London, I started to train as a Fashion Buyer at the beautiful Bond Street department store Fenwicks. However, with the buyers starting to purchase my own creations, I decided to set up my own fashion accessories brand and the collections went on to be stocked by Liberty, Selfridges, HEAL'S, Fortnum and Mason, Arnotts, ASOS, Topshop and a host of other retailers in the UK, Ireland and the US. This was such a journey, a combination of being endlessly rewarding and exhausting.

Having stepped back from this a few years ago to settle down in the countryside and have a family, I decided to pivot away from fashion and join the beautiful world of interiors. I have so much empathy for people's homes and the love and care that goes into those all-important finishing touches. I love every minute of making curtains and blinds which are carefully chosen to suit each individual space. Sewing remains my biggest passion.

The Process

Each of my projects are bespoke. After an initial conversation, it all starts with a site visit to look at the window, discuss the options and peruse fabrics. I take the chance to measure up at this appointment and send over a quotation. This service is free of charge. 

Depending on the project, the average turn-around time is 4-6 weeks, although depending on my order book, it can sometimes be quicker. Prices vary greatly depending on window size and fabric choice. Roman blinds start from around £250 and curtains from around £400. I can provide a wide range of services and styles, including...

- Fabric sourcing (please note I tend to only work with chosen fabric suppliers and would not usually use clients' own fabrics).
